Lucknow to Rishikesh Nature Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Dudhwa National Park
    8 hours 30 minutes (290 km) from Lucknow

    Begin your day early to explore the Dudhwa National Park, home to diverse wildlife including the Bengal tiger, Indian rhinoceros, and Indian elephant. Take a jeep safari to explore the forest and spot some of these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, visit the Kishanpur Wildlife Sanctuary to see more wildlife and bird species. End your day with a bonfire and stargazing experience at the forest resort.

  2. Day 2: Jim Corbett National Park
    5 hours (170 km) from Dudhwa National Park

    Start your day with a visit to the Jim Corbett National Park, named after the famous British hunter turned conservationist. Take a guided jeep safari through the park and spot tigers, leopards, and other rare wildlife. Spend your afternoon relaxing near the Kosi river and indulge in some adventure activities such as river rafting and fishing. End your day with a bonfire and some local Kumaoni cuisine.

  3. Day 3: Rajaji National Park
    5 hours 30 minutes (190 km) from Jim Corbett National Park

    Begin your day by visiting the Rajaji National Park, known for its diverse flora and fauna. Take a guided jeep safari through the park to spot Asiatic elephants, tigers, leopards, and sloth bears. Afternoon can be spent at the Neer Garh Waterfall, located near Rishikesh, where you can indulge in some swimming and cliff jumping. End your day by watching the Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh.

If you have more time, consider visiting the Nanda Devi National Park in Uttarakhand, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its stunning Himalayan landscapes and rare wildlife such as the snow leopard and Asiatic black bear. Additionally, you can also consider taking a side trip to Haridwar, one of the holiest cities in India for Hindus, located just 20 km away from Rishikesh.
