Scenic highway ride northwest along state/NH roads toward Chitradurga; expect agricultural and small-town stretches. This is the longest ride day but kept under 250 km for comfort.
Large historic fort complex with rock outcrops, bastions and scenic views over the plain — a must-see to understand local history and to enjoy panoramic vistas. Recommended hours: typically 9:00am–5:30pm; plan to arrive in the afternoon to avoid the mid-day heat.
Relax at Unkal Lake (popular city recreational spot) and nearby viewpoint/hill. Unkal Lake is open roughly 6:00am–9:00pm and is a pleasant afternoon stop for photos and a short walk.
Mid-length riding day eastward toward Davanagere across well-maintained highways and agricultural stretches; comfortable day of riding with scenic rural views.
Short town walk: check out city markets and a local temple or landmark. Davanagere is a good place to relax and experience authentic Karnataka city life.
