3-Day Itinerary for Gangtok in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Rumtek Monastery
    30 minutes (10.4 miles) from Gangtok

    Begin your day by visiting Rumtek Monastery, which is one of the largest and most significant monasteries in Sikkim. Marvel at the stunning architecture and intricate artwork of this beautiful structure. In the afternoon, take a stroll through the monastery's gardens and enjoy the serene surroundings. In the evening, attend the monastery's prayer ceremony to experience the spiritual atmosphere of the place.

  2. Day 2: Tsomgo Lake
    1 hour and 20 minutes (23.6 miles) from Gangtok

    Today, head to the picturesque Tsomgo Lake, located at an altitude of 12,400 ft. Enjoy a scenic drive through the mountains and take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Spend the morning boating on the tranquil lake or simply admiring the stunning scenery. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to an Indian Army soldier who lost his life near the lake. In the evening, return to Gangtok and explore the local markets.

  3. Day 3: Nathula Pass and Hanuman Tok

    On your last day in Gangtok, visit Nathula Pass, which is situated at an altitude of 14,140 ft and connects India to China.
