  2. Day 2: Ambur Biryani
    1 hour (42.8 km) from Vellore Fort to Ambur Biryani

    Start your day by visiting the Jalakandeswarar Temple in Vellore, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and admire the Dravidian architecture. Afterward, drive to Ambur, the biryani capital of South India. Relish the famous Ambur biryani for lunch. In the afternoon, visit the Sripuram Golden Temple, an architectural marvel made of gold, and one of the largest spiritual centers in the world. In the evening, take a walk around the Vellore Fort Lake, with a beautiful illumination display in the evening.

If you have some extra time, head to the Yelagiri Hills, a scenic hill station that offers trekking and boating options. Also, you can visit the Archeological Museum in Vellore for an insight into South India's rich history.
