Shoestring Budget 7-Day Goa Itinerary in January 2024

  1. Day 1: Aguada Fort
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    Visit the historic Aguada Fort in the morning, followed by relaxing at the Sinquerim Beach in the afternoon. Enjoy the sunset and seafood at the beach shacks in the evening.

  2. Day 2: Old Goa
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Aguada Fort

    Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Goa in the morning. Visit the Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, and St. Augustine Tower. Enjoy a traditional Goan lunch at one of the local restaurants in Panaji. Spend the evening at Miramar Beach and indulge in some street food.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours (46 miles) from Old Goa

    Take a day trip to the magnificent Dudhsagar Falls. Enjoy the scenic train ride and trek to the waterfalls. Have lunch at the local restaurants near the falls. Return to Goa in the evening and relax at Colva Beach.

  4. Day 4: Anjuna Flea Market
    40 minutes (13 miles) from Colva Beach

Recommendations

Other places to consider visiting in Goa are the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Reis Magos Fort, and the Naval Aviation Museum. Side trips to the spice plantations and the Divar Island are also recommended. To maximize your fun, try to attend a beach party or a rave at one of the clubs in Anjuna or Morjim.
