Day 1 · Fri, Jan 23
Calangute / Baga / Fort Aguada

Arrive, North Goa Beaches & Sunset at Fort Aguada

Morning:

Arrive in Goa and settle into your Calangute/Baga accommodation, then stretch your legs with a relaxed walk along Calangute Beach — grab a quick breakfast of fresh kingfish or vegetarian Goan fare at Souza Lobo or Infantaria. Afterward, rent a scooter or arrange a short taxi ride to Baga to try parasailing or simply enjoy people-watching from a beachfront café, soaking up the salt air and bright mosaic of stalls and shacks.

Afternoon:

Head inland briefly for a leisurely lunch at Britto’s on Baga Beach or a seaside thali at Fisherman’s Wharf, then wander the lively stalls of Tito’s Lane for souvenirs and beachwear. In the mid-afternoon, explore quieter stretches toward Sinquerim and make your way up to Fort Aguada — take time to walk the ramparts, visit the old lighthouse and enjoy panoramic views of the Arabian Sea.

Evening:

Stay at Fort Aguada in time for a spectacular sunset over the sea; watch the sky change colors from the fort’s ramparts and capture photos of the lighthouse silhouetted against the horizon. For dinner, descend to nearby Candolim or return to Baga for a beachside seafood feast and live music at one of the shacks, then take a moonlit stroll along the sand to end your first Goan evening.

Day 2 · Sat, Jan 24
Old Goa / Panjim / Nearby Spice Plantation

Old Goa Heritage, Panjim Riverfront & Spice Plantation

Morning:

After your lively first day on the beaches, set out for the tranquil, history-rich churches of Old Goa—begin at the UNESCO-adjacent Basilica of Bom Jesus to see St. Francis Xavier’s relics, then cross to the majestic Sé Cathedral and the Archaeological Museum to trace Portuguese-era Goa. Pause for a late-morning chai and bebinca at a nearby café, soaking the slow-paced atmosphere before heading toward Panjim.

Afternoon:

Drive to Panjim for a riverside lunch at the iconic Ritz Classic or Mum’s Kitchen to sample xacuti or prawn curry, then stroll along the colourful Fontainhas Latin Quarter with its Portuguese villas, azulejo tiles and art galleries; don’t miss a photo stop at the Chapel of Our Lady of the Mount. Mid-afternoon, continue to a nearby spice plantation (for example, Sahakari or Tropical Spice Farm) for a guided tour through pepper vines and cardamom trees, finishing with a traditional Goan lunch or spice-tasting demonstration.

Evening:

Return to Panjim in time for a relaxing sunset cruise on the Mandovi River—choose a cultural cruise with live Konkani music and folk dance for atmosphere—and disembark to explore the lively riverfront promenade. Finish the evening with dinner at Vinayak Family Restaurant or Fisherman’s Wharf (Panjim branch) for fresh seafood, then wander back through Fontainhas under soft streetlights, carrying the day’s blend of history, flavours and fragrant spice memories.

Day 3 · Sun, Jan 25
Colva / Palolem / Margao

South Goa Relaxation: Colva/Capalem Beaches & Departure

Morning:

Leave North Goa after a leisurely breakfast and drive south to Colva, arriving mid-morning to stretch out on the broad, palm-fringed Colva Beach — grab tender coconut water and a light Goan breakfast at Martin’s Corner (Colva outpost) or a beachfront shack. If you prefer a quieter scene, continue to nearby Benaulim or the tucked-away Capalem (Kapu) stretch for a tranquil walk and birdwatching around the backwaters before checking out of your hotel.

Afternoon:

Head further south toward Palolem for a relaxed seaside lunch at Art Resort’s beachfront café or at Dropadi for fresh seafood curries and coconut rice, then rent a kayak or take a short boat trip to Butterfly Island for a calm swim and snorkeling in clear waters. Alternatively, pause in Margao to visit the historic Mercado and Church of Holy Spirit for a last taste of local life and pick up cashews or sweets to take home.

Evening:

Return toward your departure point with time to freshen up, stopping for a final sunset at Colva or Palolem to watch fishing boats drift home and enjoy a farewell Goan thali at a beach shack such as Tart’s or The Fisherman’s Wharf (South Goa branch). Make your way to the airport or station with relaxed memories of beaches, spice-scented lunches and sunlit ramparts—aim to leave ample buffer time for traffic and check-in on your onward journey.
