Short drive to Kainchi Dham (the Neem Karoli Baba ashram area) for a spiritual stop; the ashram is typically open from early morning until evening — a peaceful site to visit.
Leave after lunch for Mussoorie (approx 5.5–7h depending on route & stops). This is the longest single drive of the trip — plan fuel and a tea stop en route (via Kathgodam → Haldwani → Dehradun → Mussoorie).
Visit Lal Tibba (highest point in Mussoorie) for panoramic Himalayan views and walk Camel's Back Road for dramatic cliff and valley scenery; viewpoints are open all day.
Drive to Kempty Falls (typically 8:00am–5:00pm) for waterfalls and photo stops; the road can be busy on weekends but the falls are scenic and refreshing.
Drive down to Dehradun airport (~1–1.5h) or to Kathgodam if returning by train; plan for evening flights/trains to Bhopal. Book flights/trains evening for a comfortable transfer.
Catch your pre-booked evening flight/train from Dehradun or Kathgodam to Bhopal; if no suitable connection, consider an overnight taxi/train to reach Bhopal next morning.
