Kalahasti Temple Visit and Travel to Tirupati

Morning:

Start the day with an early morning darshan at Sri Kalahasti Temple, soaking in the serene atmosphere as priests perform the Abhishekam and bell rituals; don't miss the famed Vayu Lingam and the antique gopuram carvings. After darshan, stroll around the temple tank and grab a light breakfast of idli/dosa and filter coffee at a nearby vegetarian café, then pick up prasadam and a few devotional souvenirs before boarding the short drive to Tirupati.

Afternoon:

Arrive in Tirupati around midday and check into your hotel to freshen up, then head to the bustling local bhakti scene around the Alipiri footpath or the Tiruchanur (Alamelu Mangapuram) area for a relaxed lunch of traditional Andhra thali. Spend the early afternoon arranging darshan tickets or queue passes for the Tirumala shrine, and if time permits visit the ISKCON Tirupati or the silent, tree-shaded Chandragiri Fort for a brief historical stop and family photos.

Evening:

Return to the Tirumala foothills in the late afternoon and proceed for evening darshan at Sri Venkateswara Temple, experiencing the soulful Naivedyam and Shej Aarti rituals as the sun sets; the temple lighting makes for a particularly moving atmosphere. After darshan, enjoy a comforting dinner at your hotel or a nearby family-friendly restaurant serving local specialties like pulihora and mirchi bajji, then unwind with a quiet walk around the town before retiring for the night to prepare for Day 2.
