Day 1 · Fri, Dec 5
Mumbai → Trimbakeshwar (Nashik) → Shani Shignapur → Shirdi

Mumbai → Nashik (Trimbakeshwar) → Shani Shignapur → Arrive Shirdi

Morning:

Depart Mumbai at 06:00 and drive toward Nashik, enjoying the cooler morning hours and a brief breakfast stop en route (Igatpuri or Sanpada depending on your route). Reach Trimbakeshwar (about 3-4 hours from Mumbai in normal traffic) and spend time at the ancient Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple — perform a short pradakshina and view the three-faced lingam, and if time permits visit the nearby Kushavarta (origin of the Godavari) for a peaceful riverside moment.

Afternoon:

Continue about 40-50 minutes to Shani Shignapur after a light packed/lunch stop in Nashik town—at Shani Shignapur experience the unique open-door homes and the temple atmosphere where devotees apply oil and prayers to the idol of Shani; observe local customs of placing offerings and the shrine’s nonstop flow of devotees. After darshan, take a short break for tea and snacks, then begin the drive (roughly 1-1.5 hours) toward Shirdi, possibly stopping at a scenic roadside location or a quick visit to Anjaneri or a vineyard outlet near Nashik if you want a brief detour.

Evening:

Arrive in Shirdi by early evening and check into your hotel, freshen up and head to the Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir for evening darshan or to watch the aarti (timings vary but evening aarti offers a soulful experience). If energy remains, stroll the temple precincts, visit Dwarkamai and Chavadi in the restful night atmosphere, and enjoy a simple Maharashtrian dinner at a nearby restaurant or the temple prasadalaya to rest well before the early Kakad Aarti the next morning.

Day 2 · Sat, Dec 6
Shirdi → En-route attractions → Mumbai

Early Kakad Aarti at Shirdi → Local Shirdi darshan & return to Mumbai with en-route visits

Morning:

Wake before dawn to join the 1st Kakad Aarti at Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir — the cool morning air, bhajans and the gentle oil lamps create a moving, meditative start to the day; after aarti, spend time in the queue for darshan and visit Dwarkamai and the Chavadi while the temple precincts are still peaceful. Grab a quick prasadalaya breakfast (simple Maharashtrian fare or kheer) and return to your hotel to freshen up and check out by mid-morning.

Afternoon:

Begin the drive back toward Mumbai with a recommended stop at Shirdi’s Wet N Joy (if you want a short break) or directly head to either Shrirampur / Kopargaon for a relaxed lunch; then visit the serene Khandoba Mandir in Jamb (or, alternatively, take a slight detour to the historic Saptashrungi or the grape vineyards near Nashik if you prefer a nature/winery stop) to stretch legs and enjoy local culture. Use this stretch to take photos, pick up regional sweets (karanji or chikki) from a reputable sweet shop, and plan the remaining drive home with a brief tea/coffee break in Igatpuri.

Evening:

Arrive back in Mumbai in the evening (timing depends on stops), completing the pilgrimage with a calm reflection on the Kakad Aarti and the day’s darshans; if energy permits, conclude at a quiet home temple or local mandir near your neighborhood for a short thanksgiving. Unpack, relax and enjoy a light home-cooked or local dinner while going over highlights from Trimbakeshwar, Shani Shignapur and the sacred moments at Shirdi.
