5-Day Itinerary for Hampta Pass Trek in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Arrival in Manali
    Drive from Bhuntar Airport to Manali (1 hour 39 minutes, 50.1 km)

    In the morning, arrive at Bhuntar Airport and drive to Manali. Afternoon visit to the Hadimba Temple, a wooden temple located in the middle of Van Vihar forest and explore Mall Road in the evening.

  2. Day 2: Drive from Manali to Jobra and trek to Chika
    Drive from Manali to Jobra (2 hours, 32.7 km) and trek to Chika (2-3 hours, 9 km)

    In the morning, drive to Jobra and start the trek to Chika. The trail follows the Rani river and offers beautiful views of the Dhauladhar range. Reach Chika by afternoon and enjoy the scenic surroundings.

  3. Day 3: Trek from Chika to Balu ka Gera
    Trek from Chika to Balu ka Gera (4-5 hours, 7 km)

    Start the day early and trek to Balu ka Gera, a beautiful camping spot surrounded by snow-capped mountains and glaciers. Afternoon rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. Evening explore the surroundings and enjoy the beautiful sunset.

  4. Day 4: Trek from Balu ka Gera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass
    Trek from Balu ka Gera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass (8-9 hours, 14 km)

    Start the trek early and cross the Hampta Pass, which is the highest point of the trek. Enjoy the mesmerizing views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Reach Shea Goru by evening and spend the night in tents.

  5. Day 5: Trek from Shea Goru to Chatru and drive back to Manali
    Trek from Shea Goru to Chatru (4-5 hours, 7 km) and drive to Manali (3 hours, 80 km)

    Start the day early and trek down to Chatru, passing through the beautiful Chandra Valley. Drive back to Manali by evening, marking the end of the trek.
