Drive to Dandeli + River Activities & Night Jungle Experience

6:00 AM:

Meet at Davangere college gate; quick headcount, load luggage into vehicles and distribute snacks and water. Final checklist: IDs, river shoes, sunscreen, swimwear, rain jacket, torch and first-aid kit.

6:15 AM:

Depart Davangere by car or tempo traveler. Expect a ~5-6 hour drive (approx. 260-300 km depending on route) with planned short breaks—set upbeat music and group games to keep energy high.

8:45 AM:

Quick breakfast stop at Hassan/Channarayapatna highway dhaba (example: Highway Spice Dhaba) for hot filter coffee, idli/vada or masala dosa. Use this 20-30 minute stretch to stretch legs.

11:30 AM:

Short comfort stop near Jog falls turnoff for refreshments and photos; swap drivers if needed. Refill water and buy any last-minute supplies (sunscreen, insect repellent).

Morning Wildlife Walk/Water Sports & Return via Honnavar Coast

5:30 AM:

Wake-up call and quick freshen-up at the resort (Hornbill River Resort / Kali Adventure Camp). Pack day-bags, water bottles, cameras and any leftover snacks; leave larger luggage locked in the vehicle.

6:00 AM:

Guided early-morning wildlife walk in Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary (meet with the resort’s naturalist). Expect to spot birds like Malabar grey hornbill, peafowl and maybe langurs; the guide will point out tracks and medicinal plants.

7:15 AM:

Return to the resort for a hearty breakfast — try local dosa, upma and filter coffee at the in-house restaurant or Kali River View café. Use this time to change into swimwear and secure valuables.

8:00 AM:

Check out from the resort and drive to the Kali River launch point for adrenaline activities organized by Kali Adventures or Dandeli Adventure Club. Collect life jackets and briefing for water sports.
