Day 1 · Thu, Dec 11
Wigan → Blackpool Promenade

Pickup in Worsley & Road Trip to Blackpool

Morning:

Start the day at 23 David Street, Worsley Hall with a cheerful minibus pickup: gather Gallus, Yona, Sandbar, Ocellus, Smolder, Silverstream, Thorax, Ember, Gruff, Seaspray and Rutherford, load Percy’s crate securely and double-check travel water and treats. After brief hellos and a quick walk for Percy around the leafy cul-de-sac, head onto the motorway — grab coffee and sausage rolls at the services so everyone stays warm and energised for the drive north to the coast.

Afternoon:

Arrive on Blackpool Promenade just past midday and park near the Tower; stretch legs with Percy on the promenade and explore the expanded Christmas by the Sea market where new rides and stalls — bigger than last year — glitter with lights and seasonal treats. Check into Bell Vista Hotel, leave suitcases in the room, then stroll toward the Sandcastle area and visit the festive stalls selling mulled wine, hot chocolate and handcrafted gifts while Percy enjoys a calm crate-time nap back at the hotel if needed.

Evening:

Return to the Promenade as dusk falls to see the Tower lit up and try a family-friendly ride showcased for Christmas by the Sea 2026, then sample fish and chips or a cosy pub meal near the Pier while remembering to ask the meeting contact — "the guy" — about tomorrow’s meet-up plans. Finish the night with a slow shoreline walk so Percy can sniff the sea air before settling into his crate at Bell Vista, excited for tomorrow’s full day of rides and stalls.

Christmas by the Sea 2026 — Rides, Stalls & Promenade

Morning:

Wake to sea air at the Bell Vista Hotel and give Percy a brisk promenade walk by the Tower before a hearty breakfast at the hotel or nearby Norbreck Café; top up Percy’s water and pop his crate back in the room for a short rest. Head straight to the expanded Christmas by the Sea market on the central promenade where new rides glitter — take in the festive carousel and the larger family spinner, sample hot chocolate from a stall near the Sandcastle and browse handcrafted gifts along the row of wooden chalets.

Afternoon:

After lunch at a seaside stall (try the mulled wine and a warm pasty near the base of the Tower), queue for the seasonal helter-skelter or the illuminated Ferris wheel for sweeping views of the coast and town — Percy can relax in his crate at the Bell Vista between outings or enjoy a calm walk along the sand with a member of the group. Visit the vintage arcade by the North Pier for retro games and photo ops, then pop into a nearby pet-friendly cafe on Church Street to warm up and plan the evening meet with "the guy" who’s helping coordinate tonight’s lineup.

Evening:

Return to the Promenade as twilight brings the Tower’s lights alive and enjoy the Christmas parade or evening lightshow near the Tower Gardens before grabbing fish and chips at an iconic chippy by the South Pier. Finish with a gentle shoreline stroll so Percy can sniff the sea breeze, check in with the Bell Vista staff about tomorrow’s checkout, and settle everyone into the hotel — crate time for Percy and a final hot drink while you reminisce about the day’s rides and new stalls.

Day 3 · Sat, Dec 13
Blackpool → Wigan

Leisure Morning, Pack-up & Departure

Morning:

Sleep in a little and enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the Bell Vista Hotel before taking Percy for one last stroll along the Promenade by Blackpool Tower, stopping for a final photo by the Sandcastle and a quick coffee at Norbreck Café. Return to the hotel for a calm crate rest for Percy while you collect any market souvenirs from the Christmas by the Sea stalls and tidy the room, checking out with the friendly Bell Vista staff and confirming luggage stowage for the minibus pickup.

Afternoon:

Load suitcases and Percy’s crate into the minibus, then make a leisurely detour to the North Pier arcade for a final round of retro games or grab a takeaway pasty near the Tower Gardens to eat on the drive. Head north onto the motorway toward Wigan, with a planned comfort stop at a service station so Percy can stretch and everyone can pick up snacks for the rest of the journey.

Evening:

Arrive back at 23 David Street, Worsley Hall in the early evening, unload luggage and help Percy settle back into his familiar home routine while you say goodbyes to Gallus, Yona and the rest of the crew. Finish the night with a warm meal at a local Wigan pub or at home, swap favourite moments from Christmas by the Sea 2026 — especially the new rides and stalls — and make plans for Percy’s next seaside adventure.
