Day 1 · Fri, Dec 19
Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve

Arrival, Desert Transfer & Sunset Camp Setup

Morning:

Arrive in Dubai and meet your private transfer at Dubai International Airport, then enjoy a comfortable scenic drive past the skyline and out toward the protected dunes of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. On arrival at the reserve’s welcome point, complete park formalities and meet your desert guide before a short 4x4 transfer to the secluded luxury camp site, where your tent and sleeping arrangements are introduced and you have time to unpack and relax.

Afternoon:

After settling in, take a guided orientation walk around the camp’s immediate surroundings to spot native flora and maybe a distant Arabian oryx, followed by a light lunch served under shade near the main tent. Spend the mid-afternoon learning basic desert etiquette and safety, enjoy a traditional Arabic coffee tasting, or opt for a gentle camel ride along the dunes to get acquainted with the landscape before the sun begins to lower.

Evening:

As the afternoon light deepens, watch a spectacular sunset from a high dune with panoramic views across the reserve, then return to camp for a Bedouin-style dinner around the fire featuring grilled mezze and slow-cooked lamb. After dinner, join your guide for stargazing using telescopes and a short talk about desert constellations and local folklore, before retiring to your comfortable tent for a restful first night under the desert sky.

Day 2 · Sat, Dec 20
Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve

Dune Bashing, Camel Trek & Desert Activities

Morning:

Wake early for a sunrise pickup at camp and head out with your expert driver-guide for an adrenaline-filled dune bashing session across the golden ridges of the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve in a purpose-built 4x4, pausing for dramatic photo stops at Big Red and other iconic dunes. After the rush, enjoy a calmer camel trek along a quiet dune corridor led by experienced handlers, learning about camel care and traditional Bedouin travel from your guide as you take in the soft morning light.

Afternoon:

Return to camp for a leisurely outdoor brunch of fresh mezze and Emirati dishes under the shaded dining sala before choosing from optional activities — falconry demonstrations at the reserve’s educational area, sandboarding on a sheltered slope, or a guided nature walk to spot Arabian oryx and desert birdlife near the reserve’s conservation posts. Spend late afternoon practicing desert photography with tips from your guide, focusing on textures and wildlife close to the camp while sipping mint tea and relaxing between activities.

Evening:

As the day cools, join a traditional pottery and henna session at the camp followed by a sunset walk to a nearby high dune for panoramic views and a short storytelling circle about Bedouin heritage. Return to the main fire pit for a communal barbecue dinner featuring slow-roasted lamb and regional desserts, then gather for a stargazing session using camp telescopes and a final guided talk on Arabian constellations before retiring to your tent.

Day 3 · Sun, Dec 21
Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve / Dubai City

Sunrise Photography, Cultural Experiences & Return to Dubai

Morning:

Rise before dawn for a short drive to a high vantage point in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve to capture the sunrise over the rolling dunes — your guide will coach composition and camera settings while you photograph the warm light on sand ripples and any early-moving Arabian oryx. After golden-hour shooting, enjoy a relaxed camp breakfast of fresh fruit, dates and Arabic coffee at the dining sala, then pack up camp as the crew prepares for your transfer back toward the city.

Afternoon:

On the drive back to Dubai, stop at the Al Marmoom Heritage Village or the Al Qudra Lake area for a brief cultural walk and birdwatching if time allows, then arrive in the city for a curated cultural experience at the Dubai Museum or Al Fahidi Historic District where you’ll explore traditional Emirati life and local crafts. Enjoy a farewell lunch at a recommended Arabian restaurant in Al Seef or Souk Al Bahar, sampling machboos and luqaimat before your guide assists with onward transfers or your drop-off at Dubai International Airport or city accommodation.

Evening:

If your schedule permits an evening in Dubai, take a leisurely stroll along the Dubai Creek or visit the Burj Khalifa observation deck at sunset for a final panoramic contrast between the desert you left and the city lights you returned to. Otherwise, relax at your hotel or proceed to the airport with memories of the dunes, Bedouin nights and desert skies to reflect on during your journey home.
