Exploring the City of Goa in September 2023

  1. Day 1: Panaji
    20 minutes (12.5 km) from Goa International Airport

    Start your day with a visit to the beautiful Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, located in the heart of Panaji. Afterward, head to the Fontainhas neighbourhood, famous for its colourful Portuguese-style houses. Stop at the 31st January Bakery for some delicious Goan snacks. In the afternoon, visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, located in the midst of mangrove forests in Chorao Island. Finish the day by taking a sunset river cruise on Mandovi River, enjoying the scenic beauty of Goa.

  2. Day 2: Old Goa
    30 minutes (16.5 km) from Panaji

    Start your day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the remains of St. Francis Xavier. Afterward, visit the Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Asia. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Christian Art, showcasing the art and artifacts of the Portuguese era. End the day with a visit to the vibrant Anjuna Beach, famous for its flea market and nightlife.

  3. Day 3: Margao
    35 minutes (19 km) from Old Goa

    Start your day by visiting the Shri Mangeshi Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and located in Priol. Afterward, visit the Rachol Seminary, a beautiful 16th-century building with a rich history. In the afternoon, visit the famous Colva Beach, known for its white sand and scenic views. End the day with a visit to the Monte Hill, a popular spot for panoramic views of South Goa.

  4. Day 4: Mapusa
    30 minutes (17 km) from Margao

    Start your day by visiting the Mapusa Market, famous for its fresh produce, spices, and souvenirs. Afterward, visit the St. Jerome Church, a beautiful church with a rich history.
