Viewed by 71 travelers
Day 1 · Mon, Dec 15
Calangute / Baga

Arrival and North Goa Beach Intro

Morning:

Since you arrive today and it’s already late afternoon local time, skip early-morning plans and take it easy on arrival: check into your Calangute/Baga guesthouse, drop bags, freshen up and stroll the nearby Calangute market to get a feel for local shops, spices, and beachwear. Grab a relaxed brunch at Infantaria or Brittos on Baga Beach — sit by the sand, sample Goan pao and seafood platters, and plan the rest of your afternoon while watching kites and parasailers.

Afternoon:

Head to Baga Beach for sun-and-sea time: rent a sunbed, try a short jet-ski ride or banana boat for a fun adrenaline burst, and wander toward quieter stretches near Candolim if you want a calmer vibe. Stop by Souza Lobo or Cafe Tato for a late lunch of xacuti or prawn curry, then browse the local shacks and boutiques for souvenirs before returning to your hotel to rest and change for the evening.

Evening:

As the sun sets, take a leisurely walk along Calangute’s shoreline, catching the orange glow and the lively beach culture, then move to Thalassa or Fisherman’s Wharf style restaurants nearby for dinner with live music and sunset views. Finish the night with a relaxed drink at one of Baga’s beach bars or, if you have energy, enjoy the vibrant nightlife at Tito’s Lane — just be mindful of timings and plan your return to the hotel.

Day 2 · Tue, Dec 16
Aguada / Chapora / Old Goa

Explore Forts and Old Goa Churches

Morning:

Start with a hearty breakfast near Calangute/Baga — try a Goan-style omelette and kingfish toast at Infantaria — then drive north to Fort Aguada for sweeping views of the Arabian Sea and the lighthouse; explore the Portuguese ramparts and the old prison cells while the morning light makes for great photos. From there, stop at Sinquerim Beach for a quick dip or a coffee at one of the shoreline shacks before heading inland toward Chapora.

Afternoon:

Head to Chapora Fort (the Bollywood-famous ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ viewpoint) and walk the short trail up for panoramic vistas over Vagator and Anjuna; linger at the clifftop cafés and browse the flea stalls below. Later, make your way to Old Goa to visit Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral — take a guided walkthrough to appreciate the Baroque architecture and the relics, then enjoy a relaxed lunch of pork vindaloo or seafood xacuti at Mum’s Kitchen or a nearby riverside eatery.

Evening:

As evening falls, return toward the coast and pause at the riverside promenade near Mandovi for a peaceful sunset boat cruise option or a stroll through Fontainhas if you prefer a cultural wind-down with Portuguese houses and art galleries. Finish the day with dinner in Panaji — try Vinayak Family Restaurant for local flavors or a riverside fine-dining spot — and if you’re up for it, sample a few cocktails at a rooftop bar in Panaji before heading back to your Calangute/Baga base.

Day 3 · Wed, Dec 17
Anjuna / Vagator

Relaxed Beach Day and Nightlife

Morning:

After two days of sightseeing, take a slow start and drive north to Anjuna for a laid-back morning: wander the famous Anjuna Flea Market (if it's a Wednesday) or browse the weekday stalls and boutiques along the main road, then sip a late breakfast at Cafe Bean or Artjuna while watching beachcombers. Head down to Anjuna Beach for a gentle swim or sunbathing on a rented lounger, and try a beachfront yoga session or a short horseback ride along the sand to stretch out and soak up the relaxed vibe.

Afternoon:

Make your way to nearby Vagator for cliffside views and a relaxed lunch at Thalassa (for sunset-table vibes earlier) or Gunpowder for authentic South Indian fare; sample fish curry or vegetable stews with coconut rice. Spend the afternoon exploring Chapora’s quieter coves — take the short walk to Ozran/Little Vagator for photo-worthy cliffs and a calmer shoreline, or rent a paddleboard at Vagator if you want a bit of active fun without the crowds.

Evening:

Return to Anjuna/Vagator as the sun dips and grab sunset cocktails at Curlies or the cliffside decks of Thalassa, watching the sky change over the Arabian Sea while a live guitarist plays. After sunset, dive into North Goa’s nightlife: start with dinner at Gunpowder or Vinayak, then head to the famous Anjuna trance parties or one of Vagator’s nightclubs for late-night dancing — if you prefer low-key, choose a beach shack bonfire and stargazing before a relaxed ride back to Calangute/Baga.
