North Goa → South Goa (Panaji to Colva/Palolem area)

Drive from North Goa to South Goa — Coastal highlights & sightseeing

Morning:

Set off early from Panaji along the coastal road with a first stop at Reis Magos Fort for sunrise views over Mandovi and a short walk through its restored bastions and galleries. Continue south to the shimmering sands of Miramar Beach for a brisk beachside breakfast at a café, then drive on to take a scenic detour through the villages of Betalbatim and Majorda, pausing to browse local spice stalls and sample fresh kingfish fritters at a beachfront shack.

Afternoon:

After a relaxed morning, head further south to the tranquil shores of Colva Beach for a leisurely swim and a coconut-water break at one of the family-run shacks, then continue to Benaulim to wander past rows of Portuguese-era houses and pick up handwoven textiles from local artisans. Finish the afternoon with a short boat ride from Cavelossim estuary to spot shorebirds and fishing catamarans at golden hour before cruising on toward your evening stop in the Palolem area.

Evening:

As the sun dips, settle in at Cabo de Rama Fort for sweeping cliff-top panoramas and a short stroll among crumbling ramparts before heading down to Agonda Beach for a peaceful sunset swim and soft sand walk. Finish with fresh seafood at a shoreline restaurant—try the prawn curry and feni cocktail—then linger over star-lit conversation on the beach or join a local bonfire if one’s alight.
