5-Day Rajasthan Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Jaipur
    Jaipur International Airport to Amer Fort - 30 minutes (10.3 miles)

    In the morning, visit the Amer Fort, located high on a hill overlooking Maota Lake. In the afternoon, explore the City Palace, which features a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. In the evening, watch the Light and Sound show at Amer Fort.

  2. Day 2: Jaisalmer
    Jaipur to Jaisalmer Fort - 11 hours (558 miles)

    In the morning, take an early morning train from Jaipur to Jaisalmer and head to the Jaisalmer Fort, also known as the Golden Fort. In the afternoon, visit the Gadisar Lake and take a boat ride. In the evening, head to the Sam Sand Dunes for a camel safari and stay overnight in a desert camp.

  3. Day 3: Jodhpur
    Jaisalmer Fort to Mehrangarh Fort - 5 hours (182 miles)

    In the morning, travel to Jodhpur and visit the Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in India. In the afternoon, explore the blue city and visit the Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph built in white marble. In the evening, head to the Clock Tower Market to shop for handicrafts and souvenirs.

  4. Day 4: Udaipur
    Jodhpur to Lake Pichola - 4.5 hours (163 miles)

    In the morning, travel to Udaipur and visit the City Palace, which houses a museum and offers stunning views of Lake Pichola. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola to visit the Jag Mandir Palace, a beautiful palace built on an island in the lake. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Rajasthani dinner at a local restaurant.

  5. Day 5: Pushkar
    Lake Pichola to Brahma Temple - 5.5 hours (201 miles)

    In the morning, travel to Pushkar and visit the Brahma Temple, one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. In the afternoon, explore the Pushkar Bazaar, a colorful marketplace selling everything from clothes to jewelry to spices. In the evening, attend the Aarti ceremony at the Pushkar Lake, a beautiful ritual of offering prayers with lamps.
