2-Day Los Angeles Itinerary — December 26–27, 2025

Day 1 · Fri, Dec 26
Los Angeles (Downtown, Griffith Park)

Explore Downtown & Iconic LA Sights

Morning:

Start your day with a flavorful brunch at Grand Central Market, sampling fresh tacos or egg sandwiches before wandering to the nearby Bradbury Building to admire its ornate ironwork and cinematic staircases. From there, stroll through The Broad's outdoor spaces and join the free standby line or reserve a ticket to see contemporary highlights, then cross the plaza to snap photos of the Walt Disney Concert Hall's gleaming architecture before heading up to Griffith Park for the afternoon.

Afternoon:

After the morning in DTLA, head up to Griffith Observatory for panoramic city views and a walk along the trails toward the Hollywood Sign lookout, timing your hike to catch late-afternoon light on the hills. Follow with a relaxed visit to The Greek Theatre area and picnic on the Terrace Lawn, then drive down to Hollywood & Highland for early evening people-watching, souvenir hunting, and a glimpse of the TCL Chinese Theatre courtyard before sunset.

Evening:

As dusk settles, head to Griffith Park Observatory's adjacent trails for a short sunset viewpoint, then descend to the Los Feliz neighborhood for dinner at Little Dom's, where cozy Italian plates and a lively bar scene make for a warm, local meal. After dinner, catch a live indie set or jazz night at The Lodge Room in Highland Park or enjoy cocktails with skyline views at Perch LA back in Downtown to round out the night.

Day 2 · Sat, Dec 27
Los Angeles (Santa Monica & Venice Beach)

Beach Day and Santa Monica/Venice

Morning:

Ease into your beach day with a sunrise stroll and coffee at Espresso Cielo on the Santa Monica pier approach, then rent an electric bike from Blazing Saddles to cruise the wide, palm-lined Marvin Braude Bike Trail toward Venice. Pause to explore the colorful murals of Venice Canals Walkway, browse handmade goods at Abbot Kinney Boulevard boutiques, and grab a fresh-pressed juice or acai bowl at The Butcher's Daughter to refuel before heading to the sand.

Afternoon:

After a morning of bikes and canals, relax with a seaside lunch at The Lobster overlooking the pier, then wander the bustling stalls of Santa Monica Pier Carousel and nearby arcade for classic boardwalk fun. In the late afternoon, join a guided kayak or stand-up paddle session from Santa Monica Bay Watersports, glide past sailboats as the light softens, and finish with sunset cocktails on the rooftop at The Bungalow Santa Monica.

Evening:

As twilight settles over the shoreline, wander the quieter sands toward Palisades Park for a golden-hour walk with ocean views, then head to Third Street Promenade for lively street performers and boutique browsing. Cap the night with a seafood-focused dinner at Water Grill Santa Monica or craft cocktails and small plates at High Rooftop Lounge-both offer relaxed atmospheres and great views to close out your beach day.
