Explore Portland in 5 Days

  1. Day 1: International Rose Test Garden
    15 minutes (4.2 miles) from Portland International Airport

    In the morning, explore the International Rose Test Garden, located in Washington Park, which is home to over 10,000 roses. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Hoyt Arboretum, which has over 2,000 species of trees from around the world.   2. Day 2: Powell's City of Books

    In the morning, head to Powell's City of Books, the world's largest independent bookstore, with over a million new and used books. Spend the afternoon exploring the nearby Pearl District, known for its art galleries and boutique shops. In the evening, check out the local music scene and catch a show at the Crystal Ballroom.

  3. Day 3: Oregon Museum of Science and Industry

    In the morning, visit the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry and explore its interactive exhibits and IMAX theater. In the afternoon, take a walk or bike ride along the Willamette River and enjoy the views of the city skyline.   4. Day 4: Mount Hood National Forest

In the afternoon, explore the nearby Pioneer Courthouse Square and take in the sights and sounds of the city.
