Day 1 · Fri, Jan 2
North Goa (Calangute/Baga area)

Arrival, Beach Time and Sunset at a Popular Beach

Morning:

Since you're already into the morning of arrival, ease into Goa with a relaxed brunch at Infantaria near Calangute for fresh Goan pastries and strong coffee, then take a gentle stroll along Calangute Beach to feel the sand and sea breeze. Later, wander through the nearby lanes to browse souvenirs and pick up beachwear at the colorful stalls around Baga Square, and if time allows grab a fresh coconut or a quick seafood snack at a beachfront shack before checking into your hotel and freshening up for the afternoon.

Afternoon:

After freshening up, head to Anjuna Flea Market (Wednesday stretch) if it's open for a lively browse of boho clothing, jewelry and artisanal souvenirs, or otherwise explore the quieter lanes around Vagator Beach for cliff-top views and chilled cafes. Later, unwind with cold drinks and wood-fired pizzas at Thalassa (or a nearby cliffside cafe), then make your way to Chapora Fort for a short sunset hike-perfect for golden-hour photos and sweeping views back toward the Baga-Calangute coastline.

Evening:

As the sun nears the horizon, wander to Cabo Raj Niwas for sundowner cocktails on their rooftop terrace with live acoustic music, then stroll down to Baga Beach for the classic evening vibe of beachside shacks and fairy lights. After sunset, savor a Goan seafood thali at Britto's or sample modern coastal plates at Hamburgers Inn before ending the night with chilled drinks and lounge beats at Tito's Lane or a quieter drink at a nearby beachfront bar.

Panaji / Old Goa

Morning Market Visit, Sightseeing and Departure

Morning:

Start your day with a sensory stroll through the bustling Mapusa Market (if it's Saturday) or the lively Panaji Municipal Market for fresh tropical fruits, local spices and handmade sweets, tasting hot bhaji pav from a street stall as you browse. Then wander the leafy lanes to the elegant Fontainhas Latin Quarter to admire colorful Portuguese-style houses, stop at a café for strong Goan filter coffee and prawn recheado sandwiches, and finish with a contemplative visit to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church before returning to your hotel to pack for departure.

Afternoon:

After your morning market and Fontainhas wander, take a short drive to Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary for a peaceful boat ride among mangroves and chance sightings of kingfishers and herons, then continue to Ruins of St. Augustine to trace Goa's Baroque past amid tranquil ruins. Finish with a leisurely riverside lunch at Riva Café on the Mandovi-order fresh Goan fish curry and sit on the terrace while watching boats glide by before you head back to collect luggage and depart.

Evening:

As the day winds down, enjoy a relaxed riverfront aperitif at Maher Food & Wine on the Mandovi promenade, watching ferries and local fishermen glide by while sampling Goan cashew feni cocktails and small plates. Then take a gentle sunset stroll across the beautifully lit Mandovi Riverfront promenade toward Dona Paula Viewpoint for sweeping twilight views of the estuary and a final photo stop before collecting luggage and heading to your onward transport.
