Travel from Mumbai and Beachfront Arrival

Morning:

Start your day with a scenic drive from Mumbai and a short ferry hop, then stretch your legs with a relaxed walk along Alibaug Beach where local vendors sell fresh coconut water and breakfast pav with bhaji; pause at the colorful fishing boats for photos. After a light seaside meal, explore the shaded pathways to Alibaug Market to sample local snacks and buy cashews and chikoo preserves before checking in to your beachfront stay and freshening up for the afternoon.

Afternoon:

After freshening up, wander to Kihim Beach for a quieter stretch of sand and birdwatching-rent a cycle to follow the coastal path and spot migratory gulls among the casuarina groves. Later, head to Bade Wada for a late lunch of Konkani seafood specialties (try the pomfret thali) and soak in the heritage courtyard ambiance before returning to your beachfront stay to watch the sunset.

Evening:

As night falls, wander down to Varsoli Beach for a peaceful moonlit stroll away from the daytime crowds, then settle at the beachfront shack Sanman Beach Club for grilled seafood and chilled kingfishers while live acoustic music plays. After dinner, take a short tuk-tuk ride to Alibaug Light House Viewpoint to enjoy panoramic night views of the coastline before returning to your stay for a relaxed seaside sleep.

Local Sights and Return to Mumbai

Morning:

Wake early for a peaceful stroll and birdwatching at Kashid Beach-its quieter morning sands and rocky outcrops are perfect for sunrise photos and spotting shorebirds-follow with a hearty Konkani breakfast at the nearby Seagull Café, famous for egg bhurji and fresh coconut chai. Afterward, visit the historic seaside fortification of Kolaba Fort (reachable at low tide) to explore its tide-washed ramparts and ancient cannons, then drop by the artisanal Alibag Wednesday Bazaar (or local weekly stalls) to pick up fresh mango slices, local pickles and handcrafted cashew sweets before checking out and beginning the return trip to Mumbai.

Afternoon:

After breakfast and check-out, cycle or take a short taxi to the tranquil Nagaon Beach for wind-swept sand and watersport options-try a short jet-ski run or book a banana-boat ride for a quick adrenaline hit before lunch. Later, visit the nearby coastal hamlet of Revdanda to stroll the ramparts of Revdanda Fort, taste fresh sol kadhi at a local eatery, and browse seaside stalls for salted mango pickles and handmade shells before beginning the relaxed drive back toward Mumbai.

Evening:

Wind down your Alibaug visit with a sunset cruise from Mandwa Jetty, gliding past coconut-lined shores while sipping sol kadhi and spotting the silhouette of fishing boats; many operators include light snacks and a photographer on request. After the cruise, enjoy a relaxed dinner at Bohemyan Blue Alibaug with its beach-facing terrace-order the Goan-style prawn curry and share a dessert-then collect your bags and take a comfortable taxi or ferry back to Mumbai, arriving refreshed after a coastal evening.
