Arrival, Agoo town sights and transfer to Poro Point

Morning:

Begin with a lively walking tour of Agoo Church (St. Peter the Apostle Parish) to admire its centuries-old façade and learn about local devotion, then stroll to the nearby Agoo Heritage Park to see town monuments and oral-history plaques that bring local culture to life. Finish the morning with a hands-on visit to a traditional eatery at Agoo Public Market, where students can sample and learn about regional snacks like tupig and tupig-making demonstrations before boarding the coach to Poro Point.

Afternoon:

After lunch board the coach for Poro Point and stop at Basilica of Our Lady of Charity (San Fernando) for a brief photo opportunity and a short talk on regional devotion before proceeding to the coast. Upon arrival at Poro Point, enjoy a guided shore walk along the Poro Point Lighthouse Esplanade to observe fishing boats and coastal vistas, followed by an orientation and check-in at Thunderbird Resort - Poro Point where students will receive room assignments and a quick safety briefing.

Evening:

As dusk falls, the group will enjoy an al fresco dinner at Thunderbird Resort's Veranda Grill, featuring a student-friendly buffet of Ilocano favorites and a short talk on local seafood sustainability. After dinner, take a guided stargazing stroll to the nearby Poro Point Coastal Promenade with a local naturalist who will point out constellations and coastal ecology, then gather for a relaxed cultural program in the resort's function area with folk songs and a short reflection to close Day 1.

Afterwards visit the nearby Poro Point Marine Education Center for an interactive workshop on coastal ecosystems and a hands-on touch-tank session, then return to Thunderbird Resort - Poro Point for breakfast and check-out preparations.

Afternoon:

After a leisurely resort lunch, visit the nearby Sison Observatory & Science Park for a hands-on astronomy demo and panoramic views of the coastline, then continue to Poro Point Baywalk for a guided marine-watching walk where students can spot local seabirds and watch small-scale fishing operations while discussing coastal livelihoods.
