Exploring Doddaballapura in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Muddenahalli

    Muddenahalli was the birthplace of Sir M Visvesvaraya, one of the greatest engineers India has ever produced. Visit his ancestral home which has now been turned into a museum exhibiting his life and work. In the morning, explore the museum and learn about his contributions to the field of engineering. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Bhoganandishwara Temple, a beautiful 9th century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the evening, take a stroll through the beautiful gardens surrounding the temple.

  2. Day 2: Devanahalli Fort
    45 minutes (22.9 km) from Muddenahalli

    Devanahalli Fort is a beautiful 16th century fort built by Mallabairegowda, a feudatory of the Vijayanagara Empire. In the morning, explore the fort and learn about its rich history. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Nandi Hills, a scenic hill station and popular tourist destination. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys from the top of the hill. In the evening, head back to Doddaballapura and enjoy a leisurely walk through the beautiful streets of the town.
