Viewed by 141 travelers
Day 1 · Wed, Mar 25
Arrival at Madgaon / Thivim (depends on train) — transfer to chosen base

Arrival & Travel Day — Dadar to Goa (Vande Bharat) and check-in

Morning:

After arriving and collecting luggage, pick up pre-booked transfers or a rented SUV/sedan and head toward your chosen base; if your train arrives at Thivim, stop for a quick, refreshing breakfast at Cafe Tato in Mapusa to taste Goan poi and filter coffee. Spend the rest of the morning settling into your accommodation (look for budget-friendly, couple-friendly guesthouses in Calangute, Candolim or Panaji), do a quick orientation walk to locate the nearest pharmacy and grocery, and rent six scooters or one car for the trip so you're ready for afternoon sightseeing.

Afternoon:

After settling in, take a relaxed scooter or car ride to Sinquerim Beach for a gentle walk and panoramic views of Fort Aguada, then grab a light seafood snack and chilled drink at the beachfront shack Fisherman's Wharf (Candolim outlet) to refuel. Later, do a quick essentials run to Big Bazaar (Calangute) or a nearby local market to pick up water, sunscreen and beach mats, then enjoy a late-afternoon dip or sun-soaked downtime at Candolim Beach to unwind before dinner.

Evening:

As the sun lowers, head to Baga Beach for a lively stroll and sunset shacks where you can sip chilled cocktails and try Goan fish curry rice at Britto's; the stretch is perfect for people-watching and easing into Goa's tempo. After dinner, wander to Tito's Lane for a safe, fun introduction to North Goa nightlife-pick a relaxed bar with live music or a beachside café to enjoy a laid-back first-night drink before returning to your accommodation.

Day 2 · Thu, Mar 26
North Goa (Calangute/Baga/Anjuna/Candolim area)

Explore North Goa — Beaches, Sightseeing & Nightlife

Morning:

Start your day with a sunrise yoga session or gentle beach run at Morjim Beach to enjoy quieter sands and the chance to spot local fishermen setting out; afterwards head to Marbela Café for a hearty brunch with fresh fruit bowls and strong coffee. From there, take a short drive to the serene Chapora Fort for panoramic views of Chapora River and Vagator Bay-perfect for group photos-then wander down to the nearby Vagator Beach (Ozran Cliffs) to relax on the black-rock headland and explore the cliffside cafés before lunch.

Afternoon:

After a relaxed morning, head to Anjuna Flea Market (if it's a Wednesday) or explore the colorful stalls near Anjuna Beach for souvenirs, local jewellery and street snacks; weave through the market lanes and stop at a beach shack for cold drinks. Later, visit the nearby serene Mandrem Beach-side café scene or the quieter stretch of Ashwem Beach to unwind, try paddleboarding or rent a sun umbrella, and finish the afternoon with fresh seafood tapas at Gunpowder in Assagao before gearing up for the evening.

Evening:

As twilight falls, head to Chapora River sunset jetty for a serene boat ride and golden-hour views away from the busiest beaches, then glide back to shore for dinner at Thalassa (Arpora) to enjoy lively Greek-style sunset performances and group-friendly platters. After dinner, explore the more relaxed nightlife at Curlies Backyard (lower Anjuna) for chilled music and bonfire vibes or pop into Café Mambos on a quieter night for dancing-both are good spots for groups and keep the evening easy to return safely to your base.

Day 3 · Fri, Mar 27
Option: Continue in North Goa or day-trip to South Goa (Colva/Palolem) — return to base

More North Goa or Southward Excursion — Relaxed sightseeing & beach time

Morning:

Wake up early and drive south for a peaceful start at Benaulim Beach where you can stroll the long sandy shore and watch local fishermen bring in their catch, then enjoy a fresh-goan breakfast of poi and prawn recheado at the popular beachfront café Martin's Corner (Benaulim outlet). Afterward, continue farther south to Colva Beach for a relaxed swim or beach volleyball with your group, and drop by the colorful Colva market to pick up cashew sweets and local seafood spices before heading back toward your base or onward for the day's plans.

Afternoon:

If you choose to stay north, take a scenic drive to Morjim's quieter stretch for a lazy afternoon of sunbathing and kite-watching, then wander to the nearby Ashwem Beach Café strip for light seafood tapas and fresh coconut water while you watch the tide. Alternatively, if you head south on a day-trip, spend a mellow afternoon at Palolem Beach renting a kayak to explore the rocky headlands, followed by chilled lassis and coastal snacks at the rustic beachfront shacks of Art Resort Palolem before returning to your base.

Evening:

As the day cools, drive to Cabo de Rama Fort for sweeping clifftop sunset views and short coastal walks among quiet ruins, then descend to the secluded cove of Agonda Beach for a peaceful swim and beachside coconut water. Finish with a relaxed dinner at Cafe del Mar (Agonda) or a nearby family-run shack serving fresh grilled fish and Goan vindaloo, keeping the vibe low-key so your group-especially the couples-can return to the base comfortably and on time.

Day 4 · Sat, Mar 28
Departure from Goa railway station to Mumbai

Return Travel Day — Check-out and journey back to Mumbai

Morning:

Pack up and check out after a light early breakfast at Café Bodega (Panaji) or a nearby bakery for fresh pao and strong coffee, then visit the calm riverside Mandovi Promenade for a last short stroll and souvenir photos before leaving; it's a peaceful way to close the trip and pick up any final snacks for the journey. Return to your accommodation to load luggage, refuel the rental vehicle or drop off scooters at Mapusa Rentals (or your provider), and aim to arrive at Thivim or Madgaon Railway Station with at least 45-60 minutes buffer to spare for boarding and ticket checks.

Afternoon:

After checking out, stash larger bags at your hotel and take a final easy excursion to Dona Paula Viewpoint for sweeping harbour views and a last group photo; nearby, pop into Ciaran's Café for strong filter coffee and Goan bebinca to-go. If time allows, drop by Fontainhas in Panaji for a short stroll through colourful Portuguese lanes and a quick bite of local xacuti or pazh with takeaway from Viva Panjim before heading to the station with plenty of buffer for boarding.

Evening:

Before you head to the station, enjoy a relaxed last-evening meal at Mum's Kitchen (Panaji) for classic Goan homestyle dishes-order a small platter of chicken xacuti and sannas to share so everyone tastes a proper farewell meal. If time allows, take a gentle sunset stroll along Miramar Beach for one final coastal breeze and group photos, then collect luggage and make a smooth, on-time transfer to Thivim/Madgaon Railway Station with a quick stop at Felix's Bakery for takeaway pao and sweets to nibble on the train.
