Grand Canyon (South Rim) and Page, AZ · Saturday, February 7, 2026

Grand Canyon South Rim highlights and Page shuttle transfer

Morning:

Start the morning with a relaxed late wake-up and coffee at the El Tovar Hotel lounge, then stroll the rim trail toward Mather Point for sweeping canyon vistas without the pre-dawn chill. Mid-morning, visit the Yavapai Geology Museum to catch interpretive displays and short films that make the canyon's layers come alive before you load up for the scenic drive toward Page later in the day.

Afternoon:

After a geology-focused morning, spend the afternoon driving east along Desert View Drive with stops at Grandview Point for a panoramic look and a short walk along the edge, then continue to Desert View Watchtower, where you can climb the historic masonry tower and take in expanded vistas of the Colorado River. Later, depart the South Rim and head toward Page, pausing at Navajo Bridge near Marble Canyon for sunset light on the gorge before arriving in Page for an evening check-in and dinner.

Evening:

After arriving in Page and checking in, enjoy a relaxed evening stroll along the waterfront at Lone Rock Beach on Lake Powell, where the sunset paints sandstone buttes and you can skip a formal hike for easy shoreline views. Follow that with a casual riverside dinner at Big John's Texas BBQ or a cozy meal at Bonkers Restaurant, then finish with star-gazing near Horseshoe Bend Overlook-the lights are low, the vista is dramatic at night, and it's an easy short walk if timed after dinner.
