3-Day Itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    30 minutes (14.6 km) from Goa International Airport

    In the morning, head to the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the remains of St. Francis Xavier are kept. Marvel at the Baroque architecture and beautiful paintings. In the afternoon, visit Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Goa, and take a stroll through the narrow streets lined with colorful Portuguese-style houses. In the evening, head to Anjuna Beach to enjoy the sunset and some seafood by the sea.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Falls
    1 hour 35 minutes (60 km) from Panaji

    Spend your morning at the Dudhsagar Falls, one of the tallest waterfalls in India. Take a dip in the refreshing waters and enjoy the lush green surroundings. In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Christian Art, which houses a collection of Christian art and artifacts from the 16th to the 20th century. In the evening, head to Panaji, the capital of Goa, and take a walk along the Mandovi River.

  3. Day 3: Fort Aguada
    25 minutes (11.8 km) from Calangute Beach

    Start your day at the Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort overlooking the Arabian Sea. Enjoy the stunning views and learn about the history of the fort. In the afternoon, visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, a wetland habitat for migratory birds. Take a boat ride through the mangrove forests and try to spot some of the exotic birds. In the evening, head to Calangute Beach, the largest beach in Goa, and enjoy some water sports or simply relax on the sandy beach.

Other local attractions worth considering are the Shri Manguesh Temple, the Museum of Goa, and the Reis Magos Fort. A side trip to the spice plantations in Ponda or the Sahakari Spice Farm in Curti is also highly recommended. To maximize your fun, try some adventure activities like parasailing, jet skiing, or scuba diving. Don't forget to sample the local cuisine, especially the seafood and the vindaloo curry. And lastly, don't miss the incredible nightlife in Goa, with its beach parties, live music, and bars.
