Tirupathi 2-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary - June 2023

  1. Day 1: Sri Venkateswara Temple
    Located in Tirumala, 1-hour (20 miles) from Tirupathi

    Morning: Start early to avoid long queues to visit the renowned Sri Venkateswara Temple, one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in India. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Take a darshan to see the main deity, and experience the peaceful atmosphere.
    Afternoon: Try the delicious temple prasadam, the famous Tirupathi Ladoo. Visit the Sri Vari Museum, which showcases the history of the temple and its architecture.
    Evening: Visit the Talakona Waterfall, located 3 hours (47 miles) from the temple. Enjoy the serene surroundings and take a dip in the refreshing water.

  2. Day 2: Sri Kalahasti Temple
    Located in Srikalahasti, 1-hour (24 miles) from Tirupathi

    Morning: Visit the Sri Kalahasti Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is famous for its Vayu Linga, which represents the god of wind. Take a darshan and witness the unique architecture of the temple.
    Afternoon: Visit the Sri Subramanya Swamy Temple, located in the same town. The temple is known for its beautiful location and peaceful atmosphere. Try the temple prasadam, Pongal and Sweet pongal.
