2-Day Relaxation Itinerary in Mumbai for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Marine Drive Promenade
    25 minutes (7.5 km) from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport

    Start your day with a relaxing walk along the Marine Drive Promenade. This 3.6 km long boulevard is a perfect spot to enjoy beautiful views of the Arabian Sea and iconic Art Deco buildings. In the morning, you can grab some breakfast from the nearby food stalls and enjoy it while watching the sunrise. In the afternoon, rent a bicycle or take a horse-carriage ride to explore the area. In the evening, the promenade is a popular spot for locals to unwind and you can join them by sitting on the sea-facing benches and enjoying the sea breeze.

  2. Day 2: Elephanta Caves
    1 hour and 20 minutes (15 km by ferry) from the Gateway of India

    Take an early morning ferry from the Gateway of India to Elephanta Island to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Elephanta Caves. This site dates back to the 5th century and features rock-cut temples and sculptures dedicated to Lord Shiva. The journey to the island is an experience in itself as you get to see the iconic Gateway of India and enjoy the sea views. In the afternoon, you can visit the nearby Cannon Hill to enjoy the panoramic views of Mumbai and the sea. In the evening, head back to the Gateway of India and enjoy a sunset dinner cruise on the Arabian Sea.
