Kerala Foodie Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Kochi
    35 minutes (18.1 km) from Cochin International Airport

    Morning: Start your day with a traditional breakfast at the iconic Kayees Rahmathulla Café, known for their fluffy appams and rich chicken stew. Then head to the local spice market, where you can learn about the different varieties of spices that make Kerala cuisine so unique and flavorful.

    Afternoon: Visit Fort Kochi and have lunch at Kashi Art Café, an art gallery and café known for its fusion cuisine. After lunch, visit the Mattancherry Palace, a magnificent 16th-century palace built by the Portuguese and later renovated by the Dutch. End your afternoon with a stroll along the picturesque Chinese fishing nets, and watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea.

    Evening: For dinner, try the seafood at Oceanos Restaurant, known for its local catch and traditional preparation methods.

  2. Day 2: Alleppey
    1 hour 30 minutes (55 km) from Kochi

    Morning: Start your day with a local specialty breakfast of puttu and kadala curry at Café Paradiso. After breakfast, take a backwater cruise on a houseboat, where you can relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Kerala's backwaters.
