Srisailam to Jogulamba - 3-day Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit Srisailam Dam
    20 minutes (14.6 km) from Srisailam Temple

    In the morning, visit the Srisailam Dam, which is an engineering marvel standing at a height of 512 m and spanning across the Krishna river. The serene surroundings of the dam and the gushing water make it a perfect setting for photography. In the afternoon, head towards the Srisailam Tiger Reserve, which is home to a variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, and deer. Take a jungle safari and witness the flora and fauna in their natural habitat. End the day with a visit to Shikaresvara Temple, built during the reign of the Vijayanagara Empire, and admire the intricate carvings.

  2. Day 2: Explore Belum Caves
    2 hours 30 minutes (125 km) from Srisailam Dam

    Start the day early and drive towards Belum Caves, the second-longest cave system in India. Witness the morning prayers and learn about the life and teachings of the saint. Afterward, take a dip in the Tungabhadra River, which is believed to have curative powers. In the afternoon, head towards the Panchamukhi Anjaneya Temple, which is known for its five-headed Hanuman idol. End the day with a visit to the Adoni Fort, which has a rich history dating back to the Vijayanagara dynasty.
