To get around the Amalfi Coast, you can use private car transfers, tour buses, rented scooters or cars, public transportation, or taxis. Car rentals and Vespa rentals are available in Amalfi. Private transfers cost anywhere from 60-150 EUR depending on the destination, whereas a Vespa rental costs around 60 EUR per day. Taxis are widely available but are more expensive than other options.
If you have more time, we recommend adding a day trip to the island of Ischia, known for its thermal baths and stunning scenery, or visiting the town of Salerno, which boasts a beautiful historic center and a vibrant nightlife. If you have less time, consider skipping the Path of the Gods hike or minimizing some of the beach days.
Naples International Airport (NAP) is the closest airport and is located approximately 39 miles from Amalfi. The airport offers daily flights from major cities in Europe and many connecting flights from other cities.
