Four-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary from Shivpuri MP to Char Dham

  1. Day 1: Haridwar
    5 hours 30 minutes drive (210km) from Shivpuri MP

    In the morning, visit the Har Ki Pauri ghat to witness the Ganga Aarti. After that, visit the Mansa Devi Temple via cable car. In the afternoon, you can visit the Chandi Devi Temple via cable car. Finish the day with a visit to the Rajaji National Park for an evening safari.

  2. Day 2: Yamunotri
    6 hours 30 minutes drive (220km) from Haridwar

    In the morning, drive to Hanuman Chatti where you can hire ponies or palanquins to reach Yamunotri Temple, which is situated at an altitude of 3293m. After a darshan at the temple, head to the natural hot springs at Janki Chatti. In the evening, return to your hotel in Hanuman Chatti for an overnight stay.

  3. Day 3: Gangotri
    5 hours 30 minutes drive (150km) from Hanuman Chatti

    After breakfast, drive to Gangotri, which is situated at an altitude of 3100m. En route, visit the picturesque Harsil village. On arrival, visit the Gangotri Temple and take a dip in the holy river. In the evening, take a stroll around the market near the temple and shop for souvenirs.

  4. Day 4: Kedarnath and Badrinath
    5 hours 30 minutes drive (220km) from Gangotri

    In the morning, drive to Sonprayag and then take a helicopter or trek to Kedarnath, which is situated at an altitude of 3584m. After darshan at the temple, return to Sonprayag and drive to Badrinath, which is situated at an altitude of 3133m. On arrival, visit the Badrinath Temple and take a dip in the Tapt Kund. In the evening, attend the evening Aarti at the temple.

Recommendations

You can also visit the Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, or Tungnath temple if you have more time. For side trips, you can visit Rishikesh, Mussoorie, or Auli.
