Two-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Goa in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    30 minutes (11.9 km) from Goa International Airport

    Morning: Start your day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the oldest churches in Goa. Marvel at the Baroque architecture of the church and take a look at the preserved body of Saint Francis Xavier.
    Afternoon: Head over to the Mandovi River for a relaxing afternoon on a boat ride. Admire the picturesque views of the river and take in the scenic beauty around you.
    Evening: End your day at the Baga Beach, a popular destination known for its nightlife. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and indulge in some delicious seafood at the many beachside restaurants.

  2. Day 2: Dudhsagar Waterfalls
    2 hours 10 minutes (80.5 km) from Baga Beach

    Morning: Start your day early and drive to the awe-inspiring Dudhsagar Waterfalls. Take a refreshing dip in the natural pool and marvel at the sheer beauty of the falls.
    Afternoon: Post lunch, head over to the Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary for a fun-filled afternoon with the family. Spot the exotic wildlife and take a nature walk through the lush greenery of the sanctuary.
    Evening: Catch the sunset at the Chapora Fort, a 17th-century fort offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea.

Recommendations

If you have some extra time, visit the Aguada Fort, a 17th-century Portuguese fort. Take your family on a whole day adventure at the Splashdown Waterpark in Anjuna. Go on a spice plantation tour and learn about the different spices and herbs grown in Goa. To maximize your fun, try the different water sports activities at Calangute Beach or head over to the Anjuna Flea Market for some shopping and cultural experience. Lastly, a side trip to the neighboring state of Karnataka to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi is a must-do for history buffs and nature enthusiasts.
