Arrive at your lodge near Tadoba National Park and settle in before easing into the day with a relaxed welcome breakfast and a brief introduction to the park's tiger country. If time allows, take a gentle orientation drive toward the edges of Moharli Gate and Kolara Zone, where you can scan for peafowl, deer, and fresh tracks while getting a first feel for the dry April landscape.
After lunch, head out for a relaxed wildlife outing along the quieter forest roads near Agarzari Gate and the Tadoba Lake edge, where the afternoon heat often brings animals toward water and the chances of spotting spotted deer, langurs, and marsh crocodiles improve. Keep the outing unhurried so you can also stop at a nearby village viewpoint for a first look at the park's dry teak woodland and learn how local communities live alongside this tiger reserve.
As the light softens, head for a short sunset drive toward Navegaon Gate and the nearby bamboo-lined forest edges, where the cooler evening hours can bring out sambar, wild boar, and the first chorus of birds settling in for the night. Return to your lodge for a relaxed dinner and a briefing with your naturalist, using the evening to review recent tiger movements and prepare for the deeper safaris ahead in Tadoba National Park.
