Recommendations

If you have additional time in Raipur, consider visiting the Dandak Caves, which are believed to be the hiding place of Lord Rama during his exile. Other interesting places to visit in the city include the Shree Raj Rajeshwari Temple, Mahamaya Temple and the Banjari Mata Mandir. For a side trip, consider driving to Bhilai Steel Plant, one of the largest steel plants in India. To maximize your fun, try participating in a traditional Gond painting workshop or learning the martial art of Mallakhamba.
