Relaxing 3-Day Daman and Silvassa Vacation from Ahmedabad

Day 1 · Fri, Apr 10
Daman

Coastal arrival and unwind

Evening Arrival: Sea air first, everything else later

Since you’re arriving into Daman tonight, keep it easy and let the coast do the work. Start with a slow walk at Devka Beach in Nani Daman—this is the right first stop for the evening breeze, the sound of the water, and a proper “we’ve reached” feeling. It’s best to go now while the light is soft and the promenade is still active, and you can spend about an hour just wandering, grabbing chai or ice cream from the casual stalls, and watching the shoreline. If you’re driving from the hotel, most of Nani Daman is a short auto ride away, usually under ₹100–200 depending on where you stay.

From there, head to Mirasol Lake Garden for a quieter reset. It’s a nice contrast after the open coast—more planted, calmer, and good for a slow 45-minute stroll without any pressure to “do” much. Evening is the best time here because the heat drops and the place feels more relaxed. Then keep dinner simple at Tawakkal Restaurant, one of the easier no-fuss spots in Nani Daman for fresh seafood, North Indian, and Gujarati food; expect around ₹300–500 per person. If you want the local comfort-food route, this is the right stop before a light walk.

If you still have energy after dinner, end with a very gentle night outing to Moti Daman Fort. The old walls and lanes are lovely after dark when everything is quieter and you can actually hear your footsteps; give it about 45 minutes and don’t try to rush it. Finish nearby at Bom Jesus Church, which is especially peaceful at night and makes for a lovely closing note to the first day. Keep this last part unhurried—just a short drive or auto from Moti Daman Fort, and then back to your stay to rest for tomorrow’s greener pace in Silvassa.

Day 2 · Sat, Apr 11
Silvassa

Green retreat and easy exploration

Getting there from Daman
Drive/taxi via NH 848A + Vapi–Silvassa road (about 1.5–2 hours, ~₹1,500–₹2,500 for a private cab). Best as a daytime transfer; there’s no practical direct train or flight option.
Bus/shared cab from Vapi to Silvassa after a local taxi/auto from Daman to Vapi (total about 2–3 hours, ~₹200–₹600). Book intercity bus on RedBus; expect limited frequency.

Morning

Start gently at the Tribal Cultural Museum in Silvassa town before the day gets warm. It’s an easy first stop: small enough not to feel tiring, but interesting enough to give you a real sense of the region’s Adivasi heritage, crafts, and everyday life. Plan about an hour here, and if you arrive right after opening, it’s usually quieter and more pleasant for browsing. Entry is typically very affordable, and the whole visit works best as a slow look rather than a rushed checklist stop.

Late Morning

From town, head out to Dudhni Lake for the best “do almost nothing” nature break of the day. The drive is part of the charm—green, open, and gradually more relaxed as you move toward the outskirts. Give yourself around 2 hours here, especially if you want to do a short boat ride or just sit by the water and enjoy the stillness. The boating area is usually the main attraction; fares vary by boat type and season, so keep some small cash handy. If it’s a clear day, go earlier rather than later—the light is nicer and the heat is easier to handle.

Lunch and Early Afternoon

After the lake, continue toward Khanvel and stop at Khanvel Resort restaurant for lunch. This is the kind of place that makes sense on a slow trip: familiar food, no fuss, and enough space to sit back before the next outing. Expect roughly ₹300–₹700 per person depending on what you order, and it’s a good idea to keep lunch a little early so you’re not caught there during the hottest part of the afternoon. Once you’ve finished, Lion Safari Wildlife Park is the right next move—more of a light scenic wildlife break than a long expedition, so don’t expect a big safari day. It usually takes about 1.5 hours, and it pairs well with the rest of the route because it keeps the mood easy and green.

Afternoon to Evening

Head back toward town for Hirwa Van Garden, which is exactly the kind of shaded pause you’ll want by this point. Think of it as a reset stop: a calm walk, some benches, and a little breathing room between sightseeing and sunset. After that, finish at Vanganga Lake Garden, where the evening breeze and lakefront setting make the day feel complete. It’s one of the nicest low-effort places in Silvassa for sunset, and you can comfortably linger for 1 to 1.5 hours without feeling like you’re “doing” anything. If you’re hungry later, keep dinner simple near your hotel or in Silvassa town—after a day like this, the point is to wind down, not cram in one more stop.

Day 3 · Sun, Apr 12
Daman

Slow return via the waterfront

Getting there from Silvassa
Drive/taxi via NH 848A + Vapi–Daman road (about 1.5–2 hours, ~₹1,500–₹2,500 for a private cab). Depart in the morning if you want to avoid traffic and keep the day flexible.
Bus/shared cab via Vapi (about 2–3 hours total, ~₹200–₹600). Check RedBus for any scheduled Vapi-bound services, then connect onward to Daman by local taxi/auto.

Morning

Start early and keep this first stretch light: Jampore Beach is best before the sun gets strong, when the sand is cooler and the shoreline still feels almost private. Give yourself about 1.5 hours here for a slow walk, a few photos, and maybe tea or coconut water from the beachside stalls if they’re open. It’s a simple, no-rush start to the day, and the calm here is exactly why locals prefer it over busier stretches. From here, it’s a short ride into the old quarter, where Moti Daman Fort gives you a quieter, more atmospheric history stop than the usual “checklist” sightseeing—wander the ramparts, look for the lighthouse area, and keep an eye on the old Portuguese-era stonework; most of this area is free to explore, though you may spend a little if you stop for snacks or parking.

Lunch

By late morning, head over to The Deltin in Nani Daman for a proper break in air-conditioned comfort. This is a good place to slow the whole trip down: sit down for lunch, order something familiar if you want to stay relaxed, and let the afternoon heat pass. Budget around ₹800–₹1,500 per person depending on whether you go for a full meal or just coffee and light bites. If you’re not in the mood for a heavy lunch, even a long café-style stop works well here. After that, a short ride toward the waterfront brings you to Nani Daman Jetty / Waterfront Promenade, where the pace drops again—this is the kind of place to just stroll, watch the boats, look across the river, and linger as long as you feel like it. There’s no need to hurry; an hour here is enough to feel the rhythm of the town.

Late Afternoon

Finish with one last easy pause at the Mirasol Water Park & Resort area café, which is a nice soft landing before wrapping up the day. You don’t need to do the water park itself unless you feel like it; the point is to sit down with tea, cold coffee, or a light snack and let the day taper off gently. Expect around ₹300–₹700 per person for this stop. If you still have energy, stay a little longer and enjoy the resort-side atmosphere, but the idea today is to keep it unhurried—Daman works best when you don’t try to cram it.
