Recommendations

If you have extra time, consider visiting the Ramnagar Fort, which is located on the opposite bank of the Ganges river. You can take a boat ride to get there and explore the 17th-century fort and its museum. Another great side trip is to go to Varanasi and take a boat ride on the Ganges to witness the evening Aarti ceremony. As for maximizing your fun, try some of the local street food, such as chaat and lassi, and shop for silk sarees and Banarasi paan. Finally, make sure to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes as some of the sites require walking up stairs and uneven terrain.
