Family-Friendly Itinerary for Haridwar Rishikesh in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Har Ki Pauri

    In the morning, visit the sacred Har Ki Pauri ghat and take a dip in the holy Ganges river. Witness the Ganga Aarti in the evening, a daily ritual of worship where oil lamps are offered to the river. This mesmerizing ceremony is a sight to behold and is sure to leave a lasting impression on your mind.

  2. Day 2: Neer Garh Waterfall
    Rishikesh (1 hour 30 minutes from Haridwar)

    Spend the morning at Neer Garh Waterfall, surrounded by lush greenery and the sound of the waterfall. You can take a dip in the natural pool, go for a short hike or simply relax and enjoy nature. In the afternoon, visit the Beatles Ashram, also known as Chaurasi Kutia, where the Beatles stayed in 1968 and composed many songs. This graffiti-filled space is now an art gallery and a favourite spot for photographers.

  3. Day 3: Rajaji National Park

    Start early and take a safari ride through Rajaji National Park, a wildlife sanctuary home to tigers, elephants, leopards, and many more animals. If you're lucky, you may spot some of them during the ride. In the afternoon, head to Triveni Ghat and witness the daily Ganga Aarti, a colourful and vibrant ceremony that happens at sunset.

  4. Day 4: Lakshman Jhula

    Visit the iconic Lakshman Jhula, a suspension bridge over the Ganges river. You can enjoy a stroll on the bridge, shop for souvenirs or simply take in the view of the river and surrounding hills. End the day with a visit to Trimbakeshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and seek blessings for a safe journey ahead.
