In the morning, we'll start our trek to Jivdhan fort, located at an altitude of 1145 meters. The trek is moderately difficult and will take us through beautiful landscapes, rocky terrain, and dense forests. We recommend carrying enough water, some snacks, and wearing comfortable trekking shoes. Once we reach the top, we'll explore the fort, learn about its history, take pictures, and enjoy the beautiful panoramic views of the Sahyadri mountain range. In the evening, we'll descend back to the hotel, and you can relax your tired muscles.
After breakfast, we'll head towards Pimpalgaon Joga Dam, one of the largest dams in Maharashtra, built on the Pushpavati River. The dam is surrounded by scenic hills and is a popular spot for picnics. You can take a boat ride, enjoy a picnic lunch, and capture some beautiful photographs. After spending a few hours, we'll drive back to the hotel and relax for the evening.
In the morning, we'll start our journey towards the highest peak in Maharashtra, Kalsubai. The trek is strenuous, but the views from the top are breathtaking. On the way, we'll pass through lush green forests, rocky terrain, and small waterfalls. Once we reach the top, we'll see the Kalsubai temple and enjoy the panoramic views of the beautiful Sahyadri mountain range. After spending some time, we'll start our descent and return to the hotel in the evening.
If you have more time, you can explore Bhandardara, a beautiful hill station located 40 km from Jivdhan fort. You can visit the Arthur Lake, Randha Falls, Amruteshwar Temple, and Wilson Dam. You can also try some local delicacies like Vada Pav, Misal Pav, and Kanda Bhaji. If you're interested in history, you can visit the Harishchandragad Fort, Shivneri Fort, and Rajgad Fort. To maximize your fun, we recommend carrying a camera, comfortable shoes, and some cash.
If you're interested in some side trips, you can visit the Sandhan Valley, a beautiful trek located 30 km from Jivdhan fort. You can also visit the Kedareshwar Cave Temple, located near Harishchandragad fort, which has a Shivlinga surrounded by four pillars. You can also visit the Bhavali Dam, known for its picturesque surroundings and boating facilities.
If you're looking for some adventure sports, you can try rappelling, rock climbing, and zip-lining, which are available in the nearby regions. You can also try paragliding and hot air ballooning, which are available in Kamshet, located 80 km from Jivdhan fort.
