5-Day Itinerary for Wales in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Cardiff
    Cardiff Airport to City Center
    Estimated Time: 30 minutes (12 miles)

    In the morning, visit Cardiff Castle, a medieval castle and Victorian Gothic revival mansion. After lunch, take a stroll through Bute Park and visit the National Museum Cardiff. Finish the day with dinner and drinks at one of the many restaurants and bars in the city center.

  2. Day 2: Snowdonia National Park

    Start the day with a hike up Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. After lunch, visit the Electric Mountain Visitor Centre to learn about hydroelectric power. In the evening, take a scenic train ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

  3. Day 3: Pembrokeshire Coast National Park

Recommendations

If you have time, consider visiting the Brecon Beacons National Park for more hiking opportunities. You can also take a day trip to the charming town of Hay-on-Wye, known for its many bookstores.
