First-Time NYC: Long Weekend — July 2–5 Detailed Itinerary

Route plan (step-by-step): JFK/EWR → Midtown hotel (night arrival). Fri: Manhattan Financial District loop (Battery Park → Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island → 9/11 Memorial & Museum → Brooklyn Bridge → DUMBO → Chinatown dinner). Where to stay (budget options)

Itinerary — Thursday July 2 (Arrival night)

10:00PM: Arrive NYC — hotel check-in

Arrive at your chosen budget hotel (Pod 39 / Hotel 31 / The Jane). Expect taxi/Uber from airport ~45–75 minutes (JFK/EWR) depending on traffic. Late check-in & quick neighborhood walk to grab a slice or deli snack. (Taxi $70–$100; Subway/airtrain $10–20; 1–1.5 hours total including transfer.)

Friday July 3 — Financial District, Statue/Ellis, Brooklyn & Chinatown

6:00AM: Depart hotel → Battery Park

Start early to beat crowds at Battery Park. Walk or subway to South Ferry/Whitehall St. Enjoy harbor views and pre-ferry lines. (Subway 15–30 min depending on hotel; cost $2.90; stay 30–45 minutes.)

6:30AM: Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island ferry

3:00PM: Little Italy lunch / pastry

4:15PM: Koreatown quick visit & early dinner option

Stop in Koreatown on 32nd St (if time permits and depending on luggage location) for bubble tea or quick Korean snack. (45–60 minutes; $8–20.)

5:30PM: Quick Grand Central Terminal visit (optional)

Swing by Grand Central Terminal for photos of the Main Concourse and whispering gallery. (Free; 20–30 minutes.)

Plan Your Going to nyc for the first time leaving july 2 to arrive there at approx 10pm. Would like to stay at a cheap hotel. Friday morning, I would like to wake up early to go to ellis island, brookland bridge, dumbo, 9/11 memorial and museum, statue of liberty, go to chinatown and eat dinner there, plus anyhing else that we can squeeze in. Saturday, I would like to spend a good time in the morning in central park, them go to the museum of natural history, maybe another museum after, go to rockafeller center, another spot to pass time, and go to summit around sunset, dinner at hells kitchen and them spend some time at times square. Sunday we will be leaving around 7-9pm, so most of our things will be in the morning, I would like to go the highline, chelsea market, greenwich villange, soho, shop on canal street, little italy, koreatown, and anything else we can squeeze in there. I would also like to go see any other famous spots such as grand central terminal, and a broadway show but do not have a preference as to what day that will be. give me a very detailed itinerary with hotels, transportation times and costs, how long we will stay at each spot and anything else that can be included Trip
