Start the day by visiting the Dalai Lama Temple Complex, also known as Tsuglagkhang Complex. Here, you can witness the peacefulness and spirituality of the complex as you explore the various shrines. In the morning, you may have the opportunity to participate in a prayer ceremony. After lunch, you can visit the Tibet Museum to learn more about Tibetan history and culture. In the evening, take a stroll through the nearby Dal Lake, surrounded by beautiful scenery and temples.
Spend the morning hiking to Bhagsunag Waterfall, a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The hike is relatively easy and the waterfall is a scenic spot for some photos. After lunch, visit Bhagsunag Village to experience the local culture and try some delicious momos and thukpa. In the evening, visit the nearby Dharamkot to enjoy the stunning sunset and grab dinner at one of the many eateries.
Start the day early for an adventurous trek to Triund, a popular camping spot. The trek is challenging but rewarding, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After reaching the top, set up camp and spend the afternoon enjoying the scenery or exploring the nearby glaciers. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire and some stargazing before settling in for the night.
On the last day, start by visiting the St. John in the Wilderness Church, a peaceful and historic spot in the middle of the forest. After that, head to the Norbulingka Institute to enjoy a cup of tea and learn about traditional Tibetan art and handicrafts. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Kangra Fort, a historic and stunning structure that is a must-visit. End the day with a beautiful sunset view at the Kunal Pathri Temple before heading back to your hotel.
If you have extra days, consider visiting McLeod Ganj, the hub of Tibetan culture and cuisine. You can also take a day trip to Bir Billing for paragliding, or to Palampur for tea plantations and scenic views. To maximize your fun, make sure to carry comfortable shoes for hiking and a warm jacket for Triund trek. Additionally, try some local cuisine, such as thukpa, momos, and Tibetan butter tea. Finally, don't forget to carry a camera to capture the stunning scenery and memories of your trip.
