Rajasthan Family-Friendly Itinerary for June 2023

  1. Day 1: Jaipur
    Jaipur International Airport to City Centre (11.7 km, 25 mins)

    Start your first day in Jaipur by visiting the magnificent Amer Fort, located atop a hill which offers breathtaking views of the city. You can take an elephant or jeep ride to the fort. After that, you can visit the City Palace, a beautiful palace complex with numerous courtyards, gardens and buildings. For lunch, head to the famous LMB restaurant to try some authentic Rajasthani cuisine. In the afternoon, you can visit the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory housing the world's largest stone sundial. End your day by visiting the iconic Hawa Mahal - Palace of the Winds, a structure designed for women of the royal family to observe everyday life without being seen.

  2. Day 2: Jodhpur
    Jaipur to Jodhpur by car (336 km, 5.5 hrs)

    Start your day by visiting the Mehrangarh Fort, an imposing fort that sits atop a hill overlooking the Blue City. The fort showcases a vast collection of artifacts, weapons, and paintings from the bygone era. After that, visit the Jaswant Thada, a beautiful white marble cenotaph built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. For lunch, head to Gypsy restaurant to try some local delicacies. In the afternoon, take a stroll around the blue city and visit the famous Clock Tower where you can shop for some local souvenirs and enjoy some street food. End your day by visiting the Umaid Bhawan Palace, one of the world's largest private residences, now turned into a museum and luxury hotel.

  3. Day 3: Jaisalmer
    Jodhpur to Jaisalmer by car (285 km, 5 hrs)

    Start your day by visiting the Jaisalmer Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as the "Golden Fort" due to its yellow sandstone walls that give a golden hue. After that, visit the Jain Temples, a group of exquisite temples adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures. For lunch, head to the Trio restaurant to try some delicious Rajasthani thali. In the afternoon, visit the Gadisar Lake, an artificial water body that was once the main source of water for the city. End your day by visiting the Sam Sand Dunes, located 40 km from the city, where you can enjoy a camel ride and witness the beautiful sunset.

  4. Day 4: Udaipur
    Jaisalmer to Udaipur by car (490 km, 8 hrs)

    Start your day by visiting the City Palace, a stunning palace complex with intricate architecture and beautiful gardens. After that, visit the Jagdish Temple, a large temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and adorned with intricate carvings and sculptures. For lunch, head to the Savage Garden restaurant to enjoy the beautiful views and some delicious food. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola and witness the beautiful sunset. End your day by visiting the Saheliyon ki Bari, a beautiful garden built for the ladies of the royal family.
