South Korea Relaxation Itinerary - May 2024

  1. Day 1: Gyeongju
    2 hours 40 minutes (158 miles) from Incheon International Airport

    Start your trip by exploring the ancient city of Gyeongju, where you can relax amid historic temples, tombs and palaces. Visit Bulguksa Temple in the morning, Anapji Pond in the afternoon and enjoy the sunset from the top of Namsan Mountain in the evening.

  2. Day 2: Busan
    1 hour 40 minutes (54 miles) from Gyeongju

    Head to Busan, a coastal city famous for its beaches, hot springs and seafood. Spend your morning relaxing at Haeundae Beach, then explore the Gamcheon Culture Village in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy the panoramic view of Busan's skyline from the Busan Tower.

  3. Day 3: Jeju Island
    3 hours 30 minutes (284 miles) from Busan

    Take a flight to Jeju Island, a beautiful volcanic island known for its natural wonders and relaxing atmosphere. Start your day by hiking up Hallasan Mountain for breathtaking views, then visit the Jeju Folklore and Natural History Museum in the afternoon. In the evening, relax at the Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market and try some local street food.

  4. Day 4: Jeju Island

    Spend your day exploring the trendy neighbourhood of Gangnam, where you can shop at the COEX Mall and relax at the Bongeunsa Temple. Visit the Namsan Tower in the evening for an amazing view of the city.

  7. Day 7: Incheon
    1 hour 20 minutes (33 miles) from Namsan Tower

    End your trip with a relaxing day in Incheon. Visit the Songdo Central Park in the morning, then explore the Incheon Chinatown in the afternoon. In the evening, watch the sunset from the Wolmi Traditional Park and enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.

Recommendations

If you have time, consider visiting the DMZ, the Korean War Memorial or the Lotte World amusement park. You can also take a side trip to the nearby countries of Japan or China. To maximize your fun, try some Korean BBQ, visit a jjimjilbang (Korean bathhouse) or attend a K-pop concert. Don't forget to sample some of Korea's famous street food!
