In the afternoon, take a 10-minute walk to the Butterfly Park for a peaceful time with the butterflies. End your day with a visit to the Open Hand Monument, one of the iconic structures of Chandigarh.
Start your day with a visit to the Chandigarh Child and Women Development Corporation. You can teach basic life skills to children, or assist women in the production of pickles, jams, and candles. In the afternoon, take a 10-minute walk to the Government Museum and Art Gallery. The museum has a splendid collection of miniature paintings, Gandhara sculptures, and contemporary art. End your day with a visit to the Rose Garden, spread over 30 acres and home to over 1600 varieties of roses.
On your final day, contribute to the environment by volunteering at Sukhna Lake. You can help in cleaning the lake or assist in plantation drives. In the afternoon, take a 10-minute walk to the Rock Garden, an art installation with sculptures made out of waste materials. End your day with a visit to the Elante mall, the largest mall in Chandigarh, for some shopping and dinner.
You can also consider visiting the Le Corbusier Centre, Capitol Complex, and the International Dolls Museum. A side trip to the nearby hill stations of Shimla, Kasauli, and Solan can also be a great experience. To maximize your fun, you can try local street food like chole bhature, kulfi, and lassi. Don't forget to take a stroll in the Sector 17 Plaza, famous for its magnificent fountains and light fixtures.
