Four-day itinerary for Goa in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Baga Beach
    40 minutes (11.5 km) from Goa International Airport

    Start your trip with a visit to one of the most popular beaches in Goa, Baga Beach. In the morning, you can enjoy water sports such as jet skiing or parasailing. You can also take a walk along the beach and explore the local shops and restaurants. In the afternoon, visit the Tibetan market and shop for souvenirs. In the evening, head to one of the beach shacks for a delicious seafood dinner.

  2. Day 2: Fort Aguada
    20 minutes (8.2 km) from Baga Beach

    Start your day with a visit to Fort Aguada, a 17th-century Portuguese fort that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea. In the afternoon, take a break from the heat and visit the Museum of Goa to learn about the state's history and culture. In the evening, head to Anjuna Beach to experience its famous sunset and enjoy a beachside dinner.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Falls
    1 hour 30 minutes (65 km) from Fort Aguada

    Take a day trip to the spectacular Dudhsagar Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. Start your day early as it's a long drive, but worth it once you get there! Spend the morning swimming in the natural pool at the base of the falls and taking in the breathtaking views. In the afternoon, visit the Tambdi Surla Temple, a 12th-century temple located in a forest. In the evening, return to your hotel and relax.

  4. Day 4: Old Goa
    30 minutes (18 km) from Dudhsagar Falls

    Visit Old Goa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore its churches and cathedrals which date back to the 16th and 17th centuries. In the afternoon, take a cruise on the Mandovi River and enjoy the views. In the evening, head to Panaji, the capital city of Goa, and explore the local market and enjoy dinner at a popular restaurant.

Recommendations

If you have time, consider visiting the spice plantations to learn about the different spices used in Indian cooking, or take a yoga class to relax and rejuvenate. You can also take a day trip to the nearby beaches of Calangute or Colva. For adventure lovers, you can go trekking in the Western Ghats or scuba diving in the Arabian Sea. To maximize your fun, try to attend one of the many music festivals that take place in Goa, such as the Sunburn Festival in December. And don't forget to indulge in the local cuisine, especially the seafood and vindaloo!
