3-Day Nature Itinerary for Puri in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Chilika Lake
    2 hours (50 miles) from Puri

    In the morning, take a boat ride to explore the lake's vast expanse and spot migratory birds such as Flamingos and Sandpipers. In the afternoon, visit the Kalijai Temple located on an island in the lake and enjoy fresh seafood at one of the local eateries. In the evening, head to Satapada beach for a stunning sunset.

  2. Day 2: Balukhand Wildlife Sanctuary
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Puri

    Spend the morning exploring the diverse flora and fauna of the sanctuary on a guided trek. Spot animals like deer, hyenas, and jackals, and rare birds like the Indian Pitta. In the afternoon, relax at the nearby Konark Beach and explore the nearby fishing village. In the evening, return to Puri and watch the enchanting Sand Art at Sudarshan Crafts Museum.

  3. Day 3: Puri Beach and Jagannath Temple
    5 minutes (1 mile) from Downtown Puri

    Start the morning with a stroll along the golden sands of Puri Beach and enjoy fresh coconut water. Then, visit the famous Jagannath Temple, a 12th-century architectural marvel.
