2-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Jaipur in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Amer Fort
    20 minutes (8.3 km) from Jaipur

    Morning: Start your day by visiting the magnificent Amer Fort, located on a hill overlooking Maota Lake. Explore the palace's stunning architecture and intricate details, including the Sheesh Mahal, a hall made entirely of mirrors that reflects light in a beautiful way. Afternoon: Head to the Panna Meena ka Kund, a historic stepwell that features unique geometrical patterns. Here, you can take beautiful pictures while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Evening: Visit the Nahargarh Fort to catch the sunset over the city. This fort gives you a wonderful view of the city and is an excellent spot for photography.

  2. Day 2: City Palace, Jantar Mantar and Hawa Mahal
    10 minutes (2.4 km) from Amber Fort

    Morning: Visit the City Palace, the residence of the Jaipur royal family. Explore the palace's beautiful courtyards, gardens, and museums to learn about the rich history of Jaipur. Afternoon: Head to the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory that was built in the early 18th century. Here, you can see some of the world's largest sundials and learn about the ancient methods of tracking time and space. Evening: Visit the stunning Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. This five-story palace features a beautiful façade with intricate latticework that allows cool breezes to pass through, keeping the palace cool during the hot summer months.

You can also consider visiting the Jal Mahal, a palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, or the Birla Mandir, a stunning temple made of white marble. For a side trip, you can take a day trip to the nearby village of Sanganer, known for its handmade paper and block printing.
