Madrid has an extensive public transportation system, including buses, metro, and taxis. We recommend purchasing a 10-Journey Metrobus ticket (€12.20) which is valid for 10 journeys on both buses and metros. Taxis are also readily available but can be more expensive.
The travel time from Madrid-Barajas Airport (MAD) to the city center is about 30 minutes by taxi or 45 minutes by metro.
If you have more time, consider visiting other landmarks, such as the Temple of Debod and the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. If you have less time, skip the Atocha Railway Station and Plaza Mayor. Alternatively, join a guided tour to maximize your time and learn more about the city's history and culture.
