  5. Minar-e-Pakistan — Greater Iqbal Park; see the landmark built at the site of the 1940 Pakistan Resolution, late afternoon, ~1 hour.
  6. Anarkali Bazaar — Anarkali; browse one of Lahore’s oldest shopping districts for textiles, bangles, handicrafts, and street snacks, early evening, ~1.5 hours.

Morning

Start early in the Walled City—around 8:00 a.m.—at Wazir Khan Mosque near Delhi Gate. The mosque is usually easiest to appreciate before the lanes become busy, when the vivid tile mosaics and painted calligraphy catch the softer light. Allow about an hour, and dress modestly; visitors may need to remove their shoes and should avoid prayer times. A local guide from the Walled City of Lahore Authority is worthwhile if available, particularly for spotting details in the frescoes. From here, walk through the old lanes toward Lahore Fort—roughly 15–20 minutes—or take a rickshaw if the heat is already building. Allow two hours for the fort’s courtyards, palaces, and gateways; arrive before late morning, as September can still be hot. Entry is generally a few hundred rupees for visitors, with separate charges sometimes applying for particular sections.

Afternoon

Cross the road to Badshahi Mosque after exploring the fort, giving yourself about an hour. The vast courtyard and red-sandstone façade are most impressive from the eastern entrance, while the upper viewpoints—when open—offer a superb look over the old city. Keep socks or easy-to-remove footwear handy, and carry water. For lunch, walk or take a short rickshaw ride to Fort Road Food Street, where rooftop restaurants look directly toward the mosque and fort. Order Lahori staples such as chicken karahi, seekh kebabs, naan, or lassi; budget approximately PKR 1,500–3,500 per person. Go for a reputable rooftop restaurant rather than the cheapest option, and expect lunch to take around 90 minutes.

Late Afternoon & Evening

In the late afternoon, use a ride-hailing car or rickshaw to Minar-e-Pakistan in Greater Iqbal Park—about 10–20 minutes depending on traffic. The monument commemorates the 1940 Pakistan Resolution, and the surrounding park gives you a more open view after the dense Walled City; allow about an hour, ideally arriving as the heat softens. Finish in Anarkali Bazaar, around 15–25 minutes away by car, for an easy early-evening wander through its textile, bangle, handicraft, and snack stalls. The market is liveliest after 5:00 p.m.; keep small notes for purchases, agree rickshaw fares beforehand, and try a modest street snack while browsing. Plan to leave before the busiest evening traffic, especially around Mall Road and The Mall.
